I picked up this camera (and its lens) from eBay back in November for $65 . This was after tax and shipping. It’s a Russian rangefinder that uses the LTM / M39 lens mount. My Canon P and Fed 5 also use the same lenses, so I get to mix and match.
This camera came with the Jupiter 8 lens, which is a 50mm f/2. It’s also Russian.
The Zork 4 was manufactured between 1956 and 1973. 1.7 million of them were sold. My copy is super clean with no defects.
I told my girlfriend, “I’m going to do something unconventional.”

I told my girlfriend, “I’m going to do something unconventional.” I went on to explain that I was headed to our closest shopping mall where I’d go on a photowalk inside the mall. This particular mall is basically on hospice. It has at least a 90% vacancy rate. The local power company has shut off its electricty on multiple occasions for non-payment. This mall is as close as you can get to going into an abandonded mall without it technically being abandonded. My photowalk in the mall was on a Saturday, just after noon, which should be when a mall is full of hustle and bustle. Not at this mall!
My film of choice was a roll of Fujifilm 400 color. To develop it, I mixed up a fresh batch of Cinestill CS-41 chemicals (having depleted the usefulness of my previous batch).
These photos will never be considered high art, but I had a fun time walking around taking them and developing them.
