Notes & History

Notes

Introduced in 1968, the Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL is a beautifully over-engineered, mechanical 35mm SLR that holds a unique place in film history. While Mamiya is legendary for medium format giants like the RB67, their 35mm DTL (“Dual Through-the-Lens”) series brought a massive metering innovation to the consumer market.

It is an absolute tank of a camera—heavy, completely mechanical (the battery only powers the meter), and incredibly satisfying to shoot.
