The Yashica Electro 35 G, introduced in 1968, is a pivotal chapter in the history of consumer rangefinders. As part of the massively successful Electro 35 family—which famously sold millions of units through the late 1960s and 1970s—the “G” variant (and its immediate successors like the GS, GT, GSN, and GTN) introduced internal gold-plated contacts to improve electrical conductivity.
