Taron was a boutique Japanese camera company active in the 1950s and 1960s. Known for their unique rangefinders, Taron cameras are prized by collectors today for their Tomioka optical lenses and mechanical lever-wind engineering.

The Taron Eyemax (often styled as the EYEMAX), released around 1961 by the Taron Camera Company (formerly Nippon Kōgaku Kōgyō / Shiba Seisakusho) in Japan, is a beautifully tactile, rare classic from the golden age of Japanese fixed-lens 35mm rangefinders. Taron was an under-the-radar manufacturer that consistently pushed innovative, highly quirky industrial design before they ultimately ceased operations in the late 1960s. The Eyemax stands out today as one of their most unique, visually striking creations.
